Tango

this Collection
Tango is a passion that I believe we all can identify with: the romance, movement of bodies intertwined in a push-pull passionate dance. Tango speaks to the passion in all of us. It reminds us of the emotional dance we do with our loved one, where we hope that we can share in the passion of love fulfilled. And that is when our spirit comes alive.

"Someone recently asked me what I enjoyed painting mostly. Thinking for a moment I responded, people and the scenes where they are interacting with life. Or sometimes just the light and how it affects a young woman. It makes me want to run to my easel and start painting."

Ballet

"Grace, elegance, poise of a young ballerina working at the exercise bar, striving for excellence, hoping for recognition in her art. I am inspired by the life-drama of ballet, the athleticism that enables such a graceful art form and makes me feel alive as I paint ballet."

Symphony

this Collection
"Standing in the midst of a symphony, watching the bows rising and falling, the cellists moving with the rhythm of the concerto as French horns contribute their bellowing sound...I am awestruck. Walking through the Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra (SFSO) as they practice their upcoming concert gave way to inspiration. I could not wait to stoke the fire of passion with my brush and create symphonic melodies in my painting."

Urban scenes

this Collection
"From Costa Rica, Greece, Turkey, Buenos Aires, Puerto Rica, Hawaii, to US rural and urban cities like my hometown, Denver, Colorado...these are all places that provide great scenery and inspiration for my urban scenes. I approach an urban scene from the patterns and shapes and how light is effecting those shapes."
A trip to Greece had me painting the cerrulean blues of the Mediterranean with urban lansscapes that had the charm of the old world. Stay tune for more paintings in the near future that are descriptive of rich color and ancient world Greece.
